Automotive Engineering program (International)
Overview
The Engineering in Automotive Engineering program (International) is designed to produce engineers with skills, expertise, and excellence in automotive technology. The program aims to create significant human resources in the economic development driven by technology and innovation, particularly in the next-generation automotive industry, one of Thailand’s 12 targeted S-Curve industries. The curriculum provides students comprehensive knowledge, abilities, and skills applicable to theoretical and practical aspects. Students will enhance their skills and experience in automotive technology through practical training in modern laboratories. Moreover, the curriculum integrates engineering disciplines from various fields to provide students with knowledge and understanding of modern automotive technology and the ability to further develop and design automotive components, powertrain systems, and manufacturing processes in the automotive industry. Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of 21st century skills, which promote lifelong learning and adaptability to rapid technological changes.
Curriculum Highlights
- This program aligns with the policies of the government and the university in driving the 12 targeted S-Curve industries (New S-Curve industries).
- The program is certified by the Council of Engineers Thailand (COET), allowing graduates to apply for a professional engineer license in mechanical engineering.
- The curriculum integrates engineering disciplines from various fields to provide students with knowledge and understanding of modern automotive technology.
- The program focuses on producing graduates with practical skills in automotive engineering through learning and hands-on training with modern automotive tools, equipment, and state-of-the-art laboratories.
- Students apply the knowledge they acquire from the program to design and develop automotive parts and vehicles through participation in national and international automotive competitions.
- The program prepares students for real-world work experiences through cooperative education internships (1 semester) with leading local and international automotive industry partners.
